What’s For Dinner: Summer Herbs Edition

By on September 14, 2013 6:30am EST

As summer winds down, I wanted a dinner that would 1) be all about the carbs, 2) feature late summer herbs in an awesome way, and 3) be made up of ingredients that are easy to find. Of course, my soul jam–Smitten Kitchen–posted up a recipe only a few days ago that provided a center to this meal. And it was easy to make and pretty fast. The other meal bits were just as fantastic and added those herbs I was looking for.

Main: Baked Pasta with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage from Smitten Kitchen

Side: Basil Butter Garlic Bread (oh my yum) from kitchenlovenest on Tasty Kitchen

Drink: Cucumber, Basil, and Lime Gimlet from

Dessert: Honey Lavender Ice Cream from Epicurious
